OOH Campaign for Charles Schwab Investment Themes

TRG, on behalf of their client Charles Schwab, worked with Groove Jones to create a series of augmented reality (AR) enabled murals and anamorphic 3D billboards. The campaign introduced the new Schwab Investing Themes™ offering as a new approach to investing.
The new approach is a customizable way to invest in your personal values. “Schwab Investing Themes makes investing in what you believe in easy.”

Groove Jones developed a series of WebAR experiences featuring three distinct themes: Pet Passion, Junk Food, and Consumer and Business Travel, from the 40+ themes offered by Charles Schwab. The AR Murals were part of an OOH print and hand-painted mural campaign that appeared in various cities.

By scanning the QR Code, the customer activates the AR experience. They are then met with a landing page that says, “Want to put your money where your [Pet Passion icon, June Food icon, and Consumer and Business Travel icon] is?”
The Pet Passion experience transports users into a pet wonderland filled with a neighborhood of dog houses in various sizes, shapes, and colors. Inside each home are realistic, 3D animated dogs enjoying the day.

Turning around, users discover the neighborhood playground. Oversized firehose houses, dog bone seesaws, a ball launcher, and a dog zipline make this park a dog’s dream. If you interact with this world long enough, you will be confronted with a corgi that jumps up and licks your phone for attention.

For the Junk Food Theme Experience , users are transported to a whimsical land filled with sweet and savory treats-a world where cookies, crackers, lollipops, gingerbread houses, ice cream, burgers, soda, pretzels, and chocolate surround the user. If you can keep up, you can follow a junk food train around the whole environment!

The Consumer and Business Travel theme mural takes users on an adventure at sea, showcasing a tropical paradise.

Suddenly, users immerse themselves underwater, surrounded by rich coral reefs and vibrant marine life.

As part of the anamorphic design, the robot appeared to reach out of the billboard, grabbing and examining the cubes.

This dynamic visual effect made it seem like the robot and the cubes popped out toward the viewers, capturing their attention and sparking their curiosity about the diverse investment opportunities.

The AR Murals and Anamorphic billboard successfully merged traditional mural and billboard art with cutting-edge technology and visually captivating digital displays. The innovative approach aims to increase brand visibility and allow for a higher level of interaction and engagement with potential clients.
